Neil M. Perry’s latest works are a departure from the snake focused paintings he has become known for over the past several years. Recently he has experimented with works employing full backgrounds taken from compelling urban scenes, often populated by wildlife. These subjects combine with their somewhat incongruous environments to provide metaphorical commentary across a number of socio-political crises of the modern era. In this particular set of three paintings he has sought to capture examples of contemporary expression made via handmade lettering and graffiti.
