Stacey Rozich was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and now resides in Los Angeles, CA. Her watercolor and gouache paintings reflect her intense interest in cultural narratives, textile patterns and folkloric details. While her last series at Talon Gallery focussed on the contemporary social and political climate via snap-shot versions of our worst viewpoints and impulses this latest series seems to take a wider view. Focussing simultaneously on groups acting collectively and individuals in isolation there is an overriding emphasis on costume, performance and anthropological display.
